Courtney Furlong, PhD, LPC, CRC, currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Huntingdon College. Dr. Furlong is a native of Atlanta, GA, and a graduate of Auburn University with a PhD in Human Development and Family Science, a license in professional counseling (LPC), and a certificate in rehabilitation counseling (CRC).
Courtney Furlong, PhD, LPC, CRC, currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Huntingdon College. Dr. Furlong is a native of Atlanta, GA, and a graduate of Auburn University with a PhD in Human Development and Family Science, a license in professional counseling (LPC), and a certificate in rehabilitation counseling (CRC).
Furlong previously worked at the International Labour Organization, NighLight International, and Out of Darkeness, and she focuses her research on sex trafficking, sexual assult, and bender violence. Over the past 20 years, Furlong has assisted tens of thousands of victims of sex trafficking from ten countries covering Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America.
In 2012, she received Auburn University’s Young Alumni of the Year Award and was featured in the “Young Influencers List” in Brad Lomenick’s book, The Catalyst Leader. Furlong is currently on the North America leadership team for the International Christian Alliance on Prostitution (ICAP). She likes dogs and singing.
