Nicole Hernandez trains juvenile justice professionals, educators, and community leaders to safely engage child trafficking survivors, recognize grooming dynamics, prevent re-traumatization, and respond confidently to disclosures.

Nicole is a consultant and counselor specializing in equine-assisted psychotherapy for survivors of trafficking and at-risk youth. She helps organizations move beyond traditional therapy by integrating equine-assisted, trauma-informed approaches that prioritize nervous system regulation, relational safety, and embodied healing.

Her philosophy is rooted in a lesson learned through child advocacy work: we can do hard things with soft hearts, a belief that guides her commitment to justice, compassion, and transformative care. With over a decade of international and local volunteer experience, she has worked across juvenile detention centers, probation systems, and as a child trafficking response advocate.
