Shanna Parker is a nationally recognized Survivor Leader and expert in Child Sex Trafficking.
As founder and CEO of Angels Go To Work, she has worked with over 250 confirmed juvenile survivors of sex trafficking, aiding them in pursuing healthy and productive futures. As well as supporting juvenile survivors through trials against their traffickers leading to over 1200 years of sentences against traffickers.
Ms. Parker was an instrumental piece of the pioneering team that built the Arizona Collaborative as well as trafficking centered teams within the Department of Child Safety, Juvenile Probation and Juvenile Superior Courts. Some of her many roles include serving as Communications Chair for the National Survivor Network and as a US delegate for the Justice Department. She consults on training and program development for the Office of Victims of Crime and the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges.
Additionally, Ms. Parker is faculty with Elevate Academy and collaborates with justice system professionals and tribal agencies on anti-trafficking efforts nationwide. She facilitates courses in the Trafficking Diversion program to arrested sex buyers as well as survivors who have been arrested. Ms. Parker is the author of two memoirs, “And He Called Me Angel” and “Silencing an Angel.” Her advocacy is highlighted by her TEDx Talk and recognition on the Polaris website for her community awareness project, “Oh Say Can You See.”
