Candace Buggs is an instructional designer and change consultant who has partnered with Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, for-profit organizations, medical institutions, and government entities to design learning experiences that are both impactful and transformative. Her work includes developing workshops and learning materials, facilitating training, and creating frameworks to support those who design curriculum that engage with trauma-rich content.

Drawing from her background in trauma-informed design, Candace has conducted research on the impact of trauma-related material on instructional designers, while also exploring how trauma affects learning through her PhD (ABD) studies in Instructional Design. Her work sits at the intersection of learning science, cultural competency, emotional health, and human-centered interaction.

Her passion is to design for renewed thinking—creating learning environments that move individuals and organizations from survival to hope, and from information to transformation. Candace is particularly committed to equipping organizations and communities with tools that foster resilience, clarity, and forward movement. She also enjoys informing and inspiring others through her creative outlet of spoken word.

Candace values community impact, partnering with local organizations—including churches, where she has served in ministry for over 20 years—to support outreach efforts that provide both tangible resources and hope. Her work has extended internationally, including engagements across Uganda, Kenya, and parts of Central America. She aspires to continue expanding her global impact while also deepening her local influence, further develop her Spanish fluency, and contributing to transformative work that influences individuals, organizations, and communities worldwide.
