Tanya Gould is a nationally recognized survivor-leader and policy strategist specializing in human trafficking prevention, exploitation accountability, and survivor-centered systems reform. 

Tanya Gould is a nationally recognized survivor-leader and policy strategist specializing in human trafficking prevention, exploitation accountability, and survivor-centered systems reform.  A former Anti-Human Trafficking Director for the Virginia Office of the Attorney General and appointee to the Governor’s Commission on Human Trafficking Prevention and Survivor Support, she has contributed to state, federal, and international policy discussions.

Tanya serves on the boards of Polaris and the National Center on Sexual Exploitation. A Presidential Award recipient and former member of the U.S. Advisory Council on Human Trafficking, she brings lived experience into rigorous dialogue on governance, ethics, autonomy, and structural reform, and partners with philanthropists and institutions to drive measurable reform rooted in dignity, accountability, and long-term systemic impact.
